Between the Lines.

Day 1

on the plane after it juz took off.. being veri sua-gu and at the same time, attracted by the white fluffy clouds beneath the plane.. hah. orh btw, something veri coincidental happened and heres n extract of me n my mum's conversation..

me: mummy.. tt one looks like yuhui hor?
mum: huh? looks like meh.. yuhui so thin meh?
me" (thinking to myself: since when is yuhui FAT? n continues looking n staring.. ) aiya.. mummy.. why not i shout lim yu hui.. see he got turn ard not?
mummy: siao arh.. ppl think u mad...

so about a few secs later.. tt myterious guy we were discussing bout finally noticed us... n he is indeed my erjie's pri sch classmate, mr lim yuhui and yupz.. hes the prefect who always give my bro the toy he got from the purchases of yakult and thus my bro calls him yuhui gor gor.. 'shivers'. so we sorta realised we were going on the same flight to taiwan. =)

after a few hours.. here we are at Paradise Hotel.. n againx.. veri coincidentally.. yuhui n his fren booked the same hotel as us.. and haha.. stayed in the room beside ours.. so we kinda realised we cld travel n explore tog, with my sis bringing us ard ...

so first night.. DINNER! this is the famous ah zong mee sua and it is cheap n filling n reeli veri nice.. as u can see.. there are alot of ppl queuing to buy n many more ppl behind me standing in every corner near the stall... enjoying their hot hot mee sua..

so after the mee sua.. we went for cold desserts.. its their cua-bing with fresh fruits n i think milk.. its damn nice.. =)

n after tt.. we din went back to the hotel to rest.. went to 龙山寺 (long shan temple), which is a quite historical and popular temple in taiwan. went there coz yuhui wants to be a monk there.. so we sorta went there to look at his living environment in the future. muahha!

and after tt.. we went to 华西街 (hua xi street) to walk ard.. and i reeli reeli got to realise how densely is taiwan populated with big stray dogs.. SCREAMS!~ so we walked ard abit before going back to the hotel..

Day 2

the last 2 pics were the only ones tt i remembered to take.. others are well-forgotten coz we juz simply put them into our mouths when they arrived at our tables.. the first one was some egg wrap and the 2nd one is carrot cake. nice! its their taiwanese style breakfast.

setting out to our next place to explore using their quite frenly mode of transport which is known as 捷运...

orh. n i took this pic coz i think our govt can invest in these doors to kinda prevent suicide incidents of ppl jumping off the platforms. the doors are not tall.. but certainly high enuff for ppl without qing gong. =)

and so.. we arrived at 故宫 and started to look at those historical monuments and artistic stuff left ard in taiwan.. actually.. those which are displayed are juz the copied versions.. the real ones are like reeli kept safely duno where la..

n we walked ard till late afternoon n u can see our dear fren above is getting abit retarded due to extreme hunger.. poor guys.. they need their staple food..

and i guess hunger has turned him into a looney coz he actually cut his wafer into like small cubes when we suggested tt to him~ how lame..

yes.. we were holding our flats to pose for the pic.. how mischievious.

n of course.. a grp photo to show our visit to this place. =p and our next stop is.. 士林夜市 (shihlin night market)

nice nice big big chicken and our super thirst-quenching drinks.. they are CHEAP!

this proves their hunger.. yeah?

recommended 棺材板 but i dun reeli like it.. toooooo oily.

and so.. after our meal.. we went to shop shop shop! =)

Day 3

juz a pic to act seh.. ahha.. but i think abit fail le.. ahhaz.

on a cab... finally noe where this place which i always hear on entertainment news is at.

since he waved while the taxi went past us.. i juz randomly took it.. n haha.. yuhui is damn lose face!

orh n i juz feel the car with tt poster is quite funny.. it writes.. chen shui bian will step down in 322 days blah blah blah...

so we were actually on the taxi going to the main shop of ding tai feng in taiwan.. n the whole shop is like 4 storeys high...

our dearest n delicious xiao long baos!

not to forget the staple food which the guys needed badly~ yummy!

after which.. we went to a bookstore which is like undergrd.. and there were like 2nd hand books,cds, comics, Vcds, etc everywhere.. and all u haf to do is to hunt for the stuff u need.. its purely based on ur hunting skills.

so we set off for 101 n u see.. the sky was dark n cloudy.. was drizzling i think.

Day 4

the guys left for hua lian to enjoy themselves and so the 3 of us went to dan shui..

pic taken in this shop which makes prawn n fish crackers.. damn nice

a bear shop filled with bear.. and if u notice.. tt white thingy in the middle.. its the thingy in princess hours which the princess hits when the prince bullies her.. muaahah..

nice wall.. wld be a waste if i dun pose for a pic =)

n the tall nice cream famous in danshui.. but it taste not tt nice.

took a boat to 淡水渔人码头.. waiting for the sun to set and the lovers bridge to light up..

apparantly.. sunset was not good.. coz of the bloody cloudy n dark sky

Day 5

rewarded with a bowl of nice 卤肉饭 for going to my sis's hostel to pack her stuff for her. yummy!

and after which.. we set off for ying1 ge1 which is quite famous for its pottery to help my dad find the horsie thingy he wanted so badly..

and sorta took some pics of the shops n their pottery stuff.. nice sia.. artistic..

nice dinner recommended by the shop owner of the place we bought the horsie porcelain thingy.. its a noodle store which has a history of 60 yrs.. n the food is reeli veri nice.. the soup is like only S$1.50.

Day 6

went to this place called 金瓜石 which was the place where the high officials stayed during the japanese occupation.. their buildings are veri jap style and this place was like a gold mine last time.

so after which.. we went down the mountain to somewhere lower called 九份 and its like some pasar malam place la.. dun reeli like it.. coz alot of stray dogs and smelly dou fu.. which i reeli is anti about..

taiwan version of fishball noodles juz tt the fish is sliced instead of being fishBALLs.. haha

a quite popular mua ji shop which sells reeli nice muaji.. es. their strawberry yogurt muaji.. we bought like a box of it to share with yuhui they all when they are back tt night.

and to the nice tea house which is high enuff for us to catch the beautiful sunset...

and yes.. the beautiful sunset n me! compatible yeah?

Day 7

went for brunch at this hongkong restaurant called tang2 chao2 in taiwan.. so ironic.. but nvm.. the food is nice too.. anyhow order also nice.. haha.

went to their 诚品书店 to look n feel for the reading culture.. yupz.. the ppl there are like treating this place as a library.. grab a book n sit down to read slowly~ n no one cares. hahaz

after which.. we went to miramah which is called 美丽华.. its like a big shopping mall n the special thing bout it is the ferris wheel.. but then.. it costs like S$10 for a ride.. veri ex sia.. since go 101 tower le.. dun need to take this ferris wheel coz the view wun be better than on top of 101 right? hahaz.. and btw.. this is the place where rainie yang, he jun xiang and wang chuan yi filmed their quite new idol drama called why why love. =)

and last but not least.. being a harry potter fan.. how can i resist taking a pic of the harry potter poster in CHINESE.. haha

Day 8

as its the day to leave taiwan.. did nothin much.. went to xi men ding to buy alot of food to eat in the hotel while rotting for time to arrive to leave. n i haf to comment tt the burgers n sushi sold in 7-eleven are like damn nice...
